I must confess, I rarely read entire blog posts. Rather, I skip to the end and see if it looks interesting at all. Since I'm responding to this post, I obviously found the conclusion interesting enough to read the entire article.

While I am sure that most people go through a phase where they wonder if they are where they 'should be', I have recently been wondering this all too often. I am in my senior year and throughout my schooling I have been planning on attending graduate school, but alas I will not be. Given many things that have happened in my life (marrying, buying a house, new job, etc.) I have chosen to quit school with a bachelor's degree this coming December.

Through a rather crazy series of events in the last couple of years I thought it was definitely what I should be doing, everything pointed to it! I believe very much that those events were happening for a reason and are the reason that I am where I am today, but in the end they point toward something else. What is that something else? I have no idea.

I do know that everything happens for a reason and everything I choose to do is deliberately planned by God for the betterment of The Saints (which just so happens to include me)! The sovereignty of God is amazing and He is so Good to us.

Thank you for your post, though I went in a different way than you are tending to lead toward (I chose to leave, where you seem to be choosing to stay) it has helped me to come to grips with my choice.

I pray that God gives you a sense of certainty and confirmation that you are where you need to be, but remember that "in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose". Gosh I love that verse.
