For the longest time I recall you raving about adn so I read, "Angle of Repose" by Stegner. It thus led me to read "Crossing to Safety." Which has made it into my top 10 all time favs.

I am a little ashamed for you to have read any of the "Left Behind" series....but we all trip up once in awhile. Granted to have read four of those books and barrely any Twain....welll... it's nearly unpatriotic, if not a little disturbing.

OH, and Watership Down was/is randomly brought up on the tv show LOST - thus referring to it as a similar scenario on the island. Does that mean Jack is Hazel? oh the conspiracy theories...

If you get a chance, read Phillip PUllman's "His Dark MAterials" series starting with "The golden Compass." Outstanding work in the realm of Narnia..only this guys is a self-proclaimed Atheist.

OH, and before I go... are you still in the boat in "LIfe of PI?"

Yay! Thanks for playing along with this silly book meme.

Also, surprisingly, you've listed 4 books that I somehow have never read but which have always been on my wish list:
Jayber Crow (I know, I know, Wendell Berry is awesome and I'm missing out...give me a few months, I want to make time for this.)

Blue Like Jazz (someone borrowed our copy and hasn't given it back so after Gaines read it, I never got a chance.)

Watership Down (I swear I *think* I might've possibly maybe perhaps read this as a child but I just can't remember the experience at all. Maybe I'll read it soon--possibly for the first time.)

Life of Pi (I've heard good things. You'd think I'd take the advice. Glad to hear it rocked your face off! It's moving up the list...)
